I may be wrong but pretty sure they are completely different blanks. The xxx Matt bucker looks like a fun frogging rod in close quarters. I would like to see a similar rod in the new destroyer line.shimanogloomis man wrote:So what's the difference between these and the xxx's ? Different label same blank

I get the impression that these are going to be in an entire different league than the XXX's.shimanogloomis man wrote:So what's the difference between these and the xxx's ? Different label same blank

Here are a couple of quick photos guys... They look and feel great! $399 US pricing As far as a comparison to XXX, I haven't fished them, but I have the 2017 US Destroyers, and my Megabass experience tells me that the US rods will be FAR superior across the board.

I am loving that matte black. Are you able to say what types of guides those are?bronzefly wrote:Here are a couple of quick photos guys... I am now sitting here wondering which reels would look good on them...
Get your kids hooked on fishing, and they'll never have any money for drugs or alcohol.

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods
A couple of the bigger, heavier powered models will be a little over the $399 price point, but that's where the majority will be priced. The guides are Fuji Titanium framed SiC and feature Fuji's newest tip that was just introduced a month or two back... these are the real deal guys... I thought the Ito, SV103, and even the Z200H I had on one of them all looked nice. There are highlights of several different colors, carbon fiber wraps around the first guides, they make a lot of reels a good option. I'll post a few more photos when I have time and I'm sure Mark will have some to post soon too!zodiak311 wrote:I am loving that matte black.
