Also, where is the hook hanger?

This will be my first Megabass rod....

Can anyone explain the (F-Numbers) example-F 3.5-611xs All I understand is the 6'11" extra fast spinning.

Here's your hook hanger: http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_pa ... c9cc3ece4f :lol:

F stands for "force" or power. Here's a breakdown. Just keep in mind that F powers can vary between the different series of Megabass rods. In other words, an F5 in one series can be more powerful than an F5 from another series, etc.

0 = Super Ultra Light
1 = Ultra Light
1.5 = Megabass Light
2 = Light
2.5 = Megabass Medium Light
3 = Medium Light
3.5 = Megabass Medium
4 = Medium
4.5 = Megabass Medium Heavy
5 = Medium Heavy
5.5 = Megabass Heavy
6 = Heavy
6.5 = Megabass Extra Heavy
7 = Extra Heavy
7.5 = Super Heavy
10 = Extreme Heavy
X= Versatile Heavy

Gary (Bronzefly) posted this chart on an old post and I saved it for reference. :D

Excellent, thanks for the info.

I'm actually glad it does not have a hook hanger, that way I can put one on where I want one....
One thing I hate about the NRX spinning is the hook hanger, sometimes your line will get snagged on the NRX hook hanger.

I'm a big fan of the Fuji EZ Keeper II. Looks great, works great, can put it how and where you want. Congrats on your first Megabass rod btw!

I actually have a few Fuji EZ Keepers in a drawer :big grin:

If anyone wanted to know-
Addermine is an acoustic sensor system which utilises the LAW 80 as a kill mechanism to create an off-route mine. It can also be command detonated from up to 200 m away

Got the Addermine today, I love everythinng about it, the build is simply amazing.
I do with megabass used better cork with less filler but its all good, the filler shows up with U-40 cork seal :big grin:

With that said I will be buying more megabass in the future...

Once you go Megabass, it's tough to go back to anything else. The new Destroyer USA rods are fantastic.

Glad to hear you got and love it! I remember being amazed when I opened mine the day it arrived. The FMJ was purdy but the Addermine I thought was even more impressive.

Wait till you set the hook the first time ;)

The blank is pretty awesome, the carbon wrap on the blank is pretty sweet, never seen one like this before.

Can someone tell if the real seat on destroyer is the same as on orochi XXX, except for the metal front lock nut?

I posted this question in another topic "what do I need", but given the amount of traffic this thread has, I thought I would post the question here as well.

I am between the Daemos vs the javelin. I am about 50/50 as to each the three primary uses (in no particularly order) would be chatter baits / spinner baits / skipping light texas rigs under docks.

Based on what i've read, the Javelin may also be able to handle square bills and medium depth cb's and that is the way I am leaning.

In short, could I put 12 or 14# fc on a Javelin and throw all of these baits (chatter baits, texas rigs, square bills and cb's) effectively, or can the Daemos do the first three so much better than the Javelin that the versatility is not worth the lesser performance?

The Javelin can handle it all, certainly. It has a deep flex, but still a good amount of power. It will be better for cranks than the Daemos, but you could get away with it. But the Daemos is going to be better for something like T-rigs, but is still a very versatile stick. It just has a faster action and is just slightly more powerful I'd say. I need more time with both of them, actually. Hope this helps!

Anyone have any experiences and thoughts on the Onager?
