Sorry if this has been already been asked (couldn't find it). How do these compare to the XX as far as the sensitivity?bronzefly wrote:Ham - the FMJ is a FINE jig rod. I caught some fish pitching a 1/2 oz jig on a bluff wall in deep water and current and the sensitivity and power are there.

Wow...Some really nice looking power/length combos in the series. Can't wait to see all of the actions, grip styles & intended applications that go with each...how am I ever going to just pick one?! Very excited for these.

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods
I've spent a lot of time on the water with XX rods, and very little with 2017 US Destroyer rods, but my initial impression is that these rods are lighter, more crisp, and more sensitive in general. The FMJ is an excellent jig rod, I had no issue detecting bites whatsoever.pharmboy2010 wrote:Sorry if this has been already been asked (couldn't find it). It's my understanding that these blanks are not shared by any other Megabass rod, including the JDM 2016 Destroyer line. There is no mention of Pyrofil on any of the rod blanks I fished, all of which were prototypes, but near final production stage. I'll inquire further and get back to you guys as soon as I have a solid answer.bassasaurus wrote:this is what i'm curious about as wellRISE wrote:Same Pyrofil material/blanks as the last ones?

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods
I like to have a lot more time on the water with a rod, or a new series of rods before making too many comparisons, especially outside the family. The perception of a rods sensitivity is highly subjective, but I am impressed with what I have felt in these new Destroyer models.shimanogloomis man wrote:Gary Do you think there on par with a NRX?

These look dope!
Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods
Thanks for the info, Gary! That's just what I wanted to hear. I would be using the rod for jigs/t-rigs.bronzefly wrote:Ham - the FMJ is a FINE jig rod. I caught some fish pitching a 1/2 oz jig on a bluff wall in deep water and current and the sensitivity and power are there.
The problem is that I need a jig rod now. I don't know if I can wait until mid April.
