NRX MBR rods...How do you use yours?
NRX MBR rods...How do you use yours?
I am going to be picking one up and am leaning towards the 843(edit). I was just wondering who here has one, which you have, and what techniques do you use it for?

I think the easier question is what DON'T you use your MBR rods for
I own 3 843 and 1 842. 843 for 3/8-3/4oz baits (take a pick, any moving baits and jigs(up to 1/2oz is comfortable) and 842 for 1/8-1/2oz. Topwater, jigs/trigs, crankbaits, jerkbaits, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits etc. etc. etc.

Yup! 843 is my favorite rod. It has a light enough tip that sometimes I use it when fishing shakeyheads around docks or structureJBcrankaddict wrote:I think the easier question is what DON'T you use your MBR rods for

i have the 842 and 843 and they are great for just about anything in the weight range.
I use both of mine for single hook moving baits, topwater, shallow/mid cranks, squarebills and lipless. im sure they are great for plastics but I haven't tried.
super sensitive rods. a bit slower, a little less power and stiffness in the upper half compared to the old GLX versions.
