Luxxe Oltre B70H, Ultima 170MH & NRX 854

Looking for a new jig rod to throw a little over 1/2oz total weight.

I'm looking for something with a stiffer tip but still sensitive enough to hop rather than drag jigs.

Feedback against Luxxe Oltre B70H, Ultima 170MH & NRX 854 would be greatly appreciated

I cant help much but will say I use my NRX 894 or NRX 873 for those same purposes. Hope you find some one that has used them all. Good luck with your search.

The Ultima 172H is very close in power to the NRX 854c just with a slower tip. The 170MH isnt in the same power class as the Luxxe B70H or 854c. The 172H is more sensitive than the 854c, but loads faster with less bottom end. Cant comment on the B70H yet...

Thanks for the feedback Ryan. So the Ultima 170MH fishes lighter in power than the 3/8oz to 1oz lure rating suggests ?

While the 854c has more power than its 3/4oz top end lure rating ?
