Hard to beat the NRX 893c.

the out of production rod that I give this honor is the late BCR 803 GLX. Over time though, I fished the rod less because I like longer rods. I have the 893 on order.

Luxxe Oltre B69MH
Re: most sensitive texas rig jig rod?
Nrx 893 no doubt. In spring, it's the #1 senko rod. All summer I've been fishing 3/16 & 1/4 zoom mag 2 & 10" power worms. Another application it shines for is a 5/16 shakyhead in deep water. $410 at Tackle Trap for a Rep sample, NEVER have a reason to upgrade

EVERYONE who has fished them says NRX. I see no reason to contradict that opinion, but I have no experience myself.
In my experience, the Megabass Orochi XX EMTF is the most sensitive by a long shot.

I never fished one but the bearing down type x rod with the stinger tip sounds pretty cool.WEBBY005383 wrote:anyone have anymore megabass suggestions?
Re: most sensitive texas rig jig rod?
893 x 3: most sensitive (subjective) I've ever fished (but I never held a 822). The 893 is magic. Last month I tangled with 35+ pike and the 893 held her for 5 plus minutes. Several runs and one under where the boat where the rod almost bent in two. It's always in the boat...always. Talk to Brian or Gary at the Trap. If you opt for another stick, you'll always be wondering what if. My 2 cents.
Re: most sensitive texas rig jig rod?
i prefer the shorter rods so my experience is with the 853 and it is a thing of beauty for the bottom contact techniques

Re: most sensitive texas rig jig rod?
I didnt like the tip on the 893c compared to the X7 EM and found both equally as sensitive. The X7 EM looks better too imo. You alos have the Luxxe 69MH and the Ultima 70MH as contenders. The Ultimas are more sensitive than the NRX hands down, but the 70MH is a bit more moderate in action. I sold my 893c and replaced it with a X7 EM and havent regretted it one bit. Only issue is they are no longer being produced.

As teal said, the x7 em is one heck of a rod and more versatile too. However, good luck finding one.

X7 EM and EMTF are the same rod or not?
