Re: Your most versatile rod?
I'd say my NRX 852c. Anything from light T-rigs to jerkbaits, squarebills, smaller topwater baits, small spinnerbaits, 1/4oz jigs plus trailer...the list goes on.
I'm gonna try to fish jigs with my Steez Fle X lite 7ft medium. If it can hang, that would be my most versatile rod.

Great list of rods!

XX EMTF for me. I haven't really found anything it can't do besides finesse stuff. The XX Spinnerbait Special is also very versatile IMO.

black cumara 7'2'' m/h, i've used this rod for everything from spinnerbaits/jigs/frogs/swim jigs/paddle tails, everything but crank baits....i hope it never breaks on me...

Okay I change my mind the Powell max3d 684c is my most versatile rod. Took it out and fished finesse jigs, plastic worms with 3/16 weight trig, weightless senko, spinnerbait, buzzbait, swim jig, chatterbait, squarebill, used it ripping a lipless, tied on dt10 and while I could have used a little longer more moderate rod, it handles if beautifully. Then I threw paddletails on it and finished out the day throwing poppers, walkers, and a couple floating jerkbaits. Basically I threw everything in my box except large swimbaits (total weight of my rig was about 3/4 oz, or deep cranks, but the guys here did a full review on the old max version of this rod and it handled a 2 oz swimbaits just fine. And the best part is..... wait for it.... got it for about 100 bucks shipped from Shelton clothing. It isn't as sensitive as a glx, helium 3, or envy, but it's definitely right there with the aetos and tatula (other rods around 100 right now that usually retail for 150 and more), and is more sensitive than most of the other rods in its class. Great value and if you need a shorter rod to cast accurately and do it all, definitely look at the 684

NRX 852 in spinning and casting
Re: Your most versatile rod?
Short of throwing my 1/16 finesse lures and my 2-4ounce swimbaits, I use my Shimano Ultima 170m and 170mh for everything else. My MB Super Diablo C40 is one of my fav versatile rod, too.
