Has anyone tried out the graphene rods yet? If so, how are they?

Haven't tried them, but this model looks interesting when it comes out.

Looks like a fun rod to try for throwing tiny baits. I wonder how the durability would be though.

I'm interested in this one also. Nice find! I think it would make a nice stick for small cranks and topwaters.

Old post, but I found this in the search bar and thought I would ad to it. I contacted G-Rods two days ago inquiring about the pro trout rods. I was called by the owner, Glenn, a day later and we spoke for 30 minutes about his rods, the tech, and fishing stuff. Glenn found out I was coming to DFW for the Holiday and offered to meet me in person and show me most of his entire rod line up! I met with Glenn today. Great person! Very knowledgeable guy who knows his stuff. All of his rods are made with graphene/toray carbon fiber blanks. There is a very nice 1K toray carbon fiber bottom section. I immediately thought of everyone on this forum and our love for quality, even JDM, when I observed his rods! These are pieces of art. Rods are manufactured in Japan to boot! I highly recommend everyone check them out. No matter what species you are after G-Rods has what you need. Check them out! I will be changing over all of my rods now.....That's how impressed I was in the quality and actions. Oh, and I walked away buying a pro trout 6'9" XUL just in time for my next trout trip. LOL

I agree completely with previous post, I have had the 7' crappie rod for over a year, the sensitivity, light weight all with a strong back bone are amazing. I drop a 1/6 oz. jig with braid / flouro and fish it next to a similar weight Dobyns Champion Extreme which is a fine rod in itself, I keep picking up the G-Rod at half the price. Today I bought two more Bass Rods, they will be replacing two IMX's on my deck if that gives you any indication what I think about the G-Rods. And I have also met up with Owner CEO Glenn off sight on his time and travel, his customer centric service model is spot on.

I will say…I have never owned a G-Rod, but have had a similar experience with the Owner/CEO, Glenn. When I had first heard about them and the use of this Graphene technology, I thought I would give them a call to see what they were all about. Glenn answered the phone and we talked for nearly an hour about his background & experiences, his time in Japan, graphene and how the company came to be. He was very kind and informative answering all my crazy questions. It definitely seems that they are going about things the right way. I just never got around to buying one as other opportunities have presented themselves…not saying I won’t someday however.

I actually love the ACS seat. It is very polarizing, though. You either love it or hate it. I do hate the SKS seat. Thats why I haven't tried some of the MB offerings.

Very polarizing indeed, I despise that reel seat. I've only ever kept one rod long term with ACS, the original Evergreen Super Stallion... again, great looking rods nonetheless!

I'm hoping these get more wide spread so I can get my hands on one. Very little in hand reviews out...
