Which one do you like better? I have IMX version and NRX, sensitivity is better on NRX , but I like overall build and guides of IMX better. Wondering how GLX would compare vs NRX. Considering getting one before they go away.
Thank you.
G Loomis MBR 843 GLX vs NRX
Re: G Loomis MBR 843 GLX vs NRX
I own multiple NRX rods but not the 843. I do have the GLX 843 and it is about 7 years old; my model has the full rear and forward grips. This is important because I don't know that my experience with the older GLX transfers to the new. Most guys buying new rods just get the NRX.
Comparing the older GLX models to the NRX, the NRX feel a little bit lighter powered. I saw posts on this board recently that the NRX 843 felt like a 2.5 power rod.
I own a BCR GLX 803 and a NRX 803c. I'd say the GLX is faster action and more powerful. Likely the NRX is a 2.7 power in my hands.
Sensitivity wise I am not sure the NRX any more sensitive in my hand. I'm considering adding a NRX 843 to my rotation but it will not be displacing the GLX model I own and love.

I have both, the NRX is a clear step up in sensitivity, but both are excellent rods!
