Megabass rod price drop @ TW

Any reason for this? Destroyer X7 and Evoluzion both got a big price drop.

I noticed last week, too. I was initially thinking because of the current exchange rate, but that doesn't make sense for the other lines not to change in price. So, I'm not sure now.

i dont know man. im not on the same boat with everyone with my megabass experience. im just glad i got a good deal on the rod.

then again ive always felt like a rod was missing something everytime i bought one. except my cheap mc rod

There also seems to be a drop of certain models within each line-up that were viewed as great performers, ie the
X4 Destruction and the BJ Power Versatile?

My understanding is the X7 and X4 series are to be discontinued, once their gone that's it. I'm assuming MB gave the ok to their North America dealers to lower prices to move product. Not sure what MB will be introducing new in the upcoming months.

Was brought to my attention price were dropping late March, I wouldn't assume MB is discountinuing the X7 and X4 line up, then again who knows.

Yeah, it might be just a redesign of these rods not totally doing away with them.

i could be wrong but maybe it's a lack of taper/length that suits the fishing style over here that translates to low sales. just too many regular and med-fast tapers imo. like i said, i could very well be wrong. might just be a price point that's just too high to justify the performance/aesthetic increase

i doubt its a discontinuation, since the brand new Destroyer Evoluzion C40 is also getting a price drop.could be due to exchange rates

Price drop is all across the board, for all MB rods, except the XX line.

It only makes sense for TW to drop the price since you can get the same rod from Japan for almost half the price.
