G Loomis MBR843 or 842 GLX
Thinking of getting one, has anyone seen it at any reputable online store for sale?
outdoorproshop has mbr 844 GLX for $292.50 but no 843 or 842.

Are you looking for the old versions?

Re: G Loomis MBR843 or 842 GLX
I just sold my unused MBR 842, you should have posted this last week
There are still retailers carrying them, quite a few actually. Most won't discount but Fisherman's Warehouse in New Jersey I believe was the name discounted my MBR 842 last year for me because it was discontinued, I had to ask, but always worth a shot.
I'm contemplating getting one more 843 myself before they disappear, but with the NRX 843 now in the mix, it's a tough call The no recoil guides is better for spinnerbaits and cranking, but that NRX 843 is a special rod. Decisions, decisions...

Re: G Loomis MBR843 or 842 GLX
Has G. Loomis discontinued the MBR GLX series?
Re: G Loomis MBR843 or 842 GLX
I haven't fished any of the rods made of their current, improved IMX and GLX lines of graphite but from holding various models at the local shop, the new style rods don't really seem as balanced as the older MBR line.
The newer IMX and GLX graphites may be lighter and more sensitive but taken as a whole, their updated rod construction style just doesn't seem to have that "it" feeling compared to the older MBR series. I know it's all subjective of course, but I just aint feeling it with the new lineup! I'm still enamored with my very old MBR842/843/844 rods (I can't afford to replace/update them anyway)!

Re: G Loomis MBR843 or 842 GLX
I only hold current IMX in my hands for couple of minutes in store and put it back, it was a big disappointment, not even close to my old imx MBR 843. I just got Zodias, but thinking of selling it and get MBR 843 or 842 GLX while I can. Although Zodias is a very well built rod, there is no "it" feeling in it for me)
I was hoping anyone came across good deals on them. From what I understood MRB GLX is discontinued and there is no replacement. MBR 843 and 842 in NRX is very tempting , but for way more money.
