Wonder why they show Blues in the picture but say for Greens in the documentation for the deal?

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
Anytime 21. I got to use my nrx894c in bfl this past weekend using a 3/4 football jig in 70ft of water. After using the dx745 the past couple years, it amazed me how better the bite transmission was. I don't ever see myself getting rid of the 894c, you'll love it21farms wrote:hennesy, thanks for the heads-up! i was hoping they would do this again. if i can scrounge up enough eligible rods i don't want anymore, NRX894C, here i come

Be sure to read the fine print on this Trade-In. First, you only receive 75% of retail credit if you are only trading one rod towards a NRX. If you are trading in multiple rods towards a NRX, then you only receive 60% of retail credit. Second, there is a specific list of rods they will take (the list is on their web-site). I assume they created this list, because I heard last time people were bringing in Barbie rods to trade in on a NRX.
With that being said, I already had them send me a shipping label as these trade-in programs are tough to beat for those who either have old unused rods or those who want to just upgrade to a NRX.

If you are trading in one rod (your GLX 894 JWR), you would received 75% of $460.00 (i.e., $345.00). If you have them send you a shipping label (which I recommend, because your rod would be covered under their insurance), that will cost you $20. A new NRX 894C JWR is $575.00. Therefore, your cost out of pocket would be $575.00 - $345.00 - $20.00 = $210.00shimanogloomis man wrote:So if I were to trade in a almost mint glx 894 for a nrx 894 what do u guys think I would pay outta pocket? (I actually have a spreadsheet with the retail value of all my rods and I move around the cells to calculate the most optimal combination of rods to Trade-In. I know, I have a sickness)

All I see is 60% value on their webpage. Where is the 75% coming from?

I received an email saying 75% yesterday. They must have changed it to 60% on website.

Re: 2015 nrx upgrade the hook up tackle
Well, most of the "fine print" was from my conversations with the one guy at The Hook Up Tackle. I received an e-mail that said 75%, but when I clicked on the link, it went to their page with 60% advertised (this is where the list of rods they accept are). So I called them up to clarify and the gentleman said that the 75% applies to if you are trading in just one rod towards a NRX and the 60% applies if you are trading in multiple rods. Their website is not clear at all on this, but in calling them directly, the was the differentiator between the two (i.e., one rod vs. multiple rods).21farms wrote:luckycraftman, can you provide the link to the fine print? i've been looking all over THUT's site and can't find the provisions you've mentioned. thanks.Lucky Craft Man wrote:Be sure to read the fine print on this Trade-In.
This is the third time they had this trade in program and I participated in it everytime (as I mentioned somewhere else, without this program, I wouldn't have half the NRX that I do). The first time it was offered, it is was 75% credit on as many rods as you wanted to send, but they would only take G Loomis Rods. Next time it was 60% credit on as many rods as you wanted to send no matter the manufacture (during this Trade in, I unloaded over 30 rods from Ugly Sticks to Bionic Blades). Well, they must have learned their lesson from those two and are down to this (75% for one rod, 60% for multiple rods, and specific list of manufacturers). Either way, it just is a great way to upgrade and those guys are very good to deal with.
