I fished the k2 side by side with the nrx and to me they are on the same level. the new k2 are priced 500-550.Hennessy wrote:I HEARD the price point would be around $399.their highest price rod now is $299.I know custom rod places that will build one on a k2 blank for $399.I wouldn't pay full price, but with places like Btd & TW,a 20% off sale would definitely be worth a rod with a blank that's lighter & more sensitive than a nrx

I wonder how good the warranty will be ,they had some breakage issues with the k2.

I called Phenix and they said they've sent some production K2's to some retailers. Anybody seen them yet?
Re: Phenix at ICast
Phenix was at the International Sportsman's Expo in Northern CA this weekend. The word there was they were hoping within 3-4 weeks. They were incorporating all the feedback from anglers regarding the handle/design, as well as waiting on the new guides.

I've been looking at my local socal phenix retailers for the production k2 rods on their shelves with no luck. Has any one found a production K2 at their local store yet?

I haven't, nor heard of anywhere having them.
Probably keeping it under wraps till I-cast.

Wow. Almost a year later and they still haven't hit the shelves. Maybe they should rename it the KGB2 with all that secrecy.
