dobyns dx704c anyone?

Post by Hennessy » Tue Jan 28, 2014 12:32 pm

I own & hear a lot about the dx744 but never about this rod.I own a champion 734c that I use for blades/chatterbaits,but I personally think its very close to the 744c(I purchased the 734c first) & its not like I can roll cast either rod.basically wondering if anyone is using this rod for spinnerbaits?

I use the DX704 for spinners in the Delta only. I have it paired with a Zillion 50th and 50lb braid. Reason I use it for the Delta only is because I throw it inside tulies. I need the stout rod and line to break the vegetation and free from vegetation when a fish is on. Most of the time, I'll just use my Steez SVF Graphite 7' MH for spinners.

I have the DX704C. I usually use this rod for 1/2 oz jigs, but it does work well for spinnerbaits.

Just picked up this rod with the 746 to use for just those applications as well as close target casting and docks
