is anyone using this rod currently ? if so what do you think of it? I just ordered this rod for shallow cranks,and poppers,I wanted to stick with a glass rod ,but wanted a fast tip,any thoughts

I fish this rod pretty regularly. I have fished it with a wide range of reels, and have settled on keeping a pixy with a CP-301 spool on it. It should work well for your intended purposes. I use mine mainly for small jerkbaits and smaller crankbaits. I can see it being a good rod for poppers too. It has a super soft tip, but has plenty of power.

thanks thats good to know.I will be using kvd 1.5 ,jackall aska 60, and jackall sk-pop grande, all pretty much 3/8 or less

Very nice rod for open water shallow cranks and jerkbaits up to 3/8oz. Not too good for any dense cover as I had a problem ripping some cranks out of weeds.
