My favorite finesse sticks for 1/8 to 1/4 ounce baits on 6-10 lb line:

DX742 is what I'm using now. It's not really finesse but throws weightless flukes, 4" Senkos, and 1/8 oz Texas rigs well. I have it paired with a PX68. I have had my eye on the Eiger Northwall for some time and will eventually pull the trigger on one.

Steez 6'5" ml Flexlite
Probably will pick up another here soon. Thinking the X7 Super Cliffhanger.

My favorite is one I built "Mag Bass style" (full cork grips, ECS reel seat, black alconite guides) on a SJ781 blank. Man I love fishing a Sammy 65 on that thing.

I have been looking at the DX702 but has anyone used it for small hardbaits (cranks, jerkbaits)? If anyone call tell me how it handles those baits it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

someone already asked but i'll ask again .... what weights are you going to throw on this rod. i don't throw a lot of finesse to start with, and, when i do, i tend to stick to spinning rods. my only "finesse" casting rod is from phenix. it is a umbx 707ml. the other sorta finesse rod is a custom k2 764. i know, a 4 power rod, but i use it for the heavier dropshot fishing in clear lake and the delta. so, compared to the 4 and 6 power rods that i typically fish at those two fisheries, this is finesse.

I found one of those on a clearance rack last year and picked it up. I probably ended up using that rod more than any other rod last year. I love how easily it loads with a T-rigged 6" Roboworm and 1/16oz weight, and it balances perfectly with a Core 50.

Ended up catching 3 fish over 7lbs on it just last year, with the biggest being 9lbs 13oz. Boy was that ever the fight of a lifetime!

I'd recommend this rod to anyone that can find one. Definitely one of the most fun to fish rods I've used.

Wow man, very kool...indeed, the EC (Expert Casting) 69L is a near impossible rod to find anymore!

Lami LC862
Lami LSJ862
HM MHX DS822

The LC862 is more like a "medium" spinning rod...the LSJ862 is a ML and the DS822 is a nice XF drop-shot rod.

I use a Phenix Recon PHX-C682 which is 6'8 light action rod with a Daiwa Pixzilla and 6lb flouro. Takes care of all my finesse stuff.

My DX702 works well with Lucky Craft RC 0.5 crankbaits and Rapala HJ06's. It is a beautiful rod also! My other favorites are my previous gen crucial CRC-D66M, Cumulus 6'5", and Bass Pro Shops (yes, really!) Pro Finesse 6'6" ML.
