If you can still find one the Powell Endurance 706CB and 726CB are/were great all-around crankbait rods. You just have to be comfortable enough with your masculinity to throw a purple rod :lol:

I use my Phenix X 13 for throwing my DD22 and I also use it for my R2S Rovers and Spooks

Get the Shimano Crucial Crankbait rod 7'11" med heavy. It is in your price range and will do what you want and is a great rod with a great warranty.
