NRX 852C vs. GLX 852C

Post by romans » Tue Jun 05, 2012 6:45 pm

I have a GLX 852C and have noticed that it seems that the NRX rods are softer than their GLX counterparts.I was curious if there was anybody that has or had both of these rods and could give details on the differences between these rods.I have the GLX shakey head and also the NRX shakey and they are almost two different rods if you ask me.Nobody local to me has the 852C NRX in stock to "play" with.
Thanks in advance

I have both of those rods, the Nrx seems to be a little slower action to me. It is not an extra fast action like the Bcr that is the main difference that I can tell. I like it still but that is one of the rods in the lineup that I actually prefer the BCR model to the NRX model.

I've been looking at both rods for shakey head fishing. How would you rate them for this application? Do they fish a solid 2 power, or are they more like a 2.5 power?
Not trying to highjack the post, but it is rare that someone has experience with both rods.
