Powell Max Football Jig Rod 7'5" Med Hvy 753CEF
Powell Max Football Jig Rod 7'5" Med Hvy 753CEF. Anybody fished this rod? What are your impressions? I'm thinking jigs, deep water t-rigs, Carolina rigs & some pitching jigs in heavier cover. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'll be able to tell you after next week- I bought one for my Dad because he was in desperate need of a better plastics/jig rod. We are headed to Falcon for a week and I am sure I will get the chance to play with it a bit.
My initial impressions merely handling it (not fishing) are that it is a MF-F taper with decent backbone. The rod felt really light for a 7'5" MH action stick.
I know I'm not much help, but hopefully I can give you a better review when we get back from Falcon!

I bought a used one this past winter. I have only got to use it a little pitching jigs and so far it seems OK. Should get a better feel for it later this year when I get to use it for some deeper jig and plastics fishing. It is light and balances well with a Revo S.
