If you mean the NRX 852S it is a finesse weapon. Finesse worms, flukes, even trick worms and my buddy who uses mostly spinning gear swears by his 852 for Sammy 65's, Tiny Torpedo's and other small jerk baits.

It's an absolutely phenomonal 1/4 oz jig rod - in fact, I think it's the most sensitive, most ideal 1/4 oz jig spinning rod I've ever used. I spent a LOT of time with this rod this past winter fishing for smallmouth in deep, clear water and it was fantastic. I also toss a lot of 1/4 oz tubes in the winter and it works beautifully for that technique as well. Smaller weightless plastic like the 4" senko, flukes, and lighter texas rigged plastics are all in the zone with the 852s. I know guys who use it successfully for some treble hooked moving baits - smaller crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwaters, but I much prefer the SYR 822s for these techniques. Hope this helps! 8-)
