Well the one that I have that fits your specs is my Powell Max 7105. It's 7 feet 10 inches, I think a $169.99, and a really good flipping rod IMHO. To me it is very sensative and it isn't as stiff as most flipping rods, it's a 5 powered medium heavy rod so it has a nice tip on it. I use it for a lot of grass fishing and never have any trouble hooking fish or getting them out of the grass. It's a good all around rod to me for the money. Hope this helps ya.

Give Cashion a look I just picked one up. It's light sensitive and balances well and rge price is right also. They are good people to deal with.

In comparison other than length is the Recon 804 that much of a lighter power than the 796? This rod seems to not be mentioned very often as I have posed similar questions before. I don't have the luxery of holding one they are not sold anywhere around where I live. It seems that those two are my two choices unless I am able to find a hell of a deal on the 710 Zombie. Damn not making the purchase when they were $200 around XMAS.

when i played with the recon 804 and 796 side by side in the shop, it does seem like the 804 is much lighter in power. i have NOT, however, fished them side by side.

i have the gen 1 805 it IS a beast. not quite enough tip for my liking but, if you like a pool cue, this is it. it will drag anything out of anywhere!

still keeping it though. :big grin:
