powell rod for c-rigs?
powell rod for c-rigs?
looking for a powell rod i can use for c-rigs. i normally use 1/2 to 1oz weights for c-rigging. it just depends on the depth and cover. can anyone hook a brotha up with a model POWELL rod {not interested in dobyns/diawa/etc} that they like for this application? thanks for the help.

I would definitely go with the Max 764 or the Endurance 764. If you still need more power, then look
to the 775. Good luck, Eric.

+1 on the Endurance 764. Amazingly versatile rod. It's listed as a mag medium, but that's relative to flipping sticks not regular casting rods. Rod has a lot of power and a very subtle tip. I bought it as a light pitching rod, but ended up using it for all kinds of stuff. Love the thing.
If you want something shorter, the Endurance 714 is also a good one. But the 764 is where it's at.

+1 for the 764 Max/endurance.... most versatile rod in their line-up i think... I threw jigs, spinners, swimmers, frogs/toads, senkos, Crigs, and T-Rigs up to 1 ounce.

I emailed Powell regarding this very question last year, and was recommended the endurance 764. its a great rod for the application, and fully recommended from my experience.
