How many combos do you guys have

I only have 6 at this time, I once had around 18 but sold the ones I never used.
But I am working on getting a couple more rods.

right now I have-
NRX 852c with Metanium MGL
NRX 843c with Conquest 101hg
NRX 852s with Shimano Vanquish
GLX 842c with Metanium 13
Dobyns 806ML swimbait rod with Shimano curado 301
Shimano Clarus with Stradic 2500

All reels have braid and some even have braid with leaders

The FG knot is simply amazing...

Big water salmon trolling.

My insurance company laughed at my most updated list. Asked where I keep them. Told them in my basement. They actually asked me if water damage / flooding / sewer backup would damage them..... (I said poop would, but yes, fishing rods and reels can get wet)

Hi Steve,

Can you tell me what you think of the R type trolling rods? The specs look good but I can't find them locally and there are no reviews to speak of. Hard to find trolling rods that are 1 piece with decent guides. Was hoping they might be ok for trolling inline boards for walleye with mono.

they are great quality, in that their reel seats, components, cork, are all second to none....

but they are slightly heavier than I anticipated.

I would say they are heavier in action (not necessarily weight) than a comparable shimano compre tc4 trolling rod.

I know I paid $230 canadian per rod that you listed...which is 40% more than a comparable compre trolling rod....

so.....

I'd say get one lighter than anticipated, or get a compre trolling rod if you can find them...(they are getting rarer and rarer).

lets not get too exited. I live in SoCal so besides all the freshwater stuff I also have my surf, inshore, and offshore gear. the cool thing is if I buy more gear I can always have it shipped to my job, and my wife will never notice
