Gotta give love to the Loomis CR722 GLX and the MBR 782 GLX - both are a blast for poppers. Been tossing some on my pixzilla Cumara 6'3" reaction rod and really liking that set up too!

I use a popping rod. I have two. First is an 80's Berkley Series One. Second is a Quantum Tour Edition popping rod. I'm fairly confident that blank was made by Lamiglas. Both will toss a Rico or Splash It across the slough.

I throw a Loomis MBR782 GLX and a Loomis SBR752. I like the shorter rod since I work my baits in a downward motion.....

The Dobyns 683C is the best Popper rod I've ever used.
Much more so then with walking baits.

Powell 704CB. Great tip for those treble hook baits with all the backbone to drive those hooks home.

MBR782 all the way. If I'm throwing a bigger xcalliber popper (3/8oz model) over grass then I would got to the Steez 6'3MH. Both work excellent but the 782 has a popper on it 90% of the time in the summer.

Interesting that the Loomis 782 seems to get the nod. Maybe people are using smaller poppers than me as I use a a 783 IMX mostly with Berkley Frenzy Poppers. This year I added a 6'3" Croix Avid for jerkbaits, but it's a pretty good popper rod too. Just haven't used it for that much.
