Dobyns Jig Rod

Which rod, the DX744 or DX745, do you think is better for using 1/2 football jigs with 5" Yamamoto Dbl Tail Grubs around hard bottom, shell beds, and scattered rocks?

Which rod is closer in power to the MBR844C GLX?

I never fished the Loomis MBR844C GLX. But for 1/2 oz jigs the DX 744 C would work great. There both 4 power rods. I never really have much experience with the GLX series to expensive up here in Canada around the 500 mark, and no one would carry them.

For what you have typed above, no question my choice is the DX744.

No dense weeds? No need for a 5 power!
