G. Loomis 2011
G. Loomis 2011
Any rumors from the G. Loomis camp for the ICAST 2011?
Re: G. Loomis 2011
Probably going to be about another 15 years before they top the NRX. Lol.
Nah, just kidding. No clue what they will have, maybe more NRX models in different lengths and actions?
Cheers!

I understand that there are suppose to be a few new Cumara's from Shimano, but haven't heard much from the Loomis side. I believe they're suppose to release a few new NRX's to fill a few gaps.. Just rumors though, no hard facts...?

Re: G. Loomis 2011
I talked with Steve Rajeff at the Portland Sportsmans Expo about a month back really nice guy and it was fun to pick his brain. He was saying to expect a revamp across the board in there in low to middle end market this year. Basically a revamp of their GL2 material as they feel it's a good market and that they have been neglecting it.
My biggest question was when do I get a TSR (Trout Series) or Salmon Steelhead Series in nrx. The answer was disappointing "not soon". He said the GLX in the TS rods wasn't selling great and because of that the company isn't looking at introducing any new high end rods into that market ..... As for Salmon and Steelhead "not this year we're focusing on our low to mid market. Possibly in the next few years though."

Would love to see a CBR845 in 7' 2" with a longer handle than the current 845.
Re: G. Loomis 2011
Shoot... NRX Salmon/Steelhead along with IMX Surf Series in casting versions would have been nice.MondayMonkey wrote: As for Salmon and Steelhead "not this year we're focusing on our low to mid market. Possibly in the next few years though."

Re: G. Loomis 2011
Who knows, but I would love to see NRX versions of the following rods:
BCR 855 GLX
BCFR 863 GLX
BCFR 894 with the current NRX reel seat...
I would LOVE to see a new 894 or 895 NRX based off the 893 blank, extra fast and all, just a heavier version for big jigs in deep water!!
