DOBYNS CHAMPION GRAPHICS

Has DOBYNS modified the graphics & logo on the CHAMPION rods recently ? I thought I saw a post indicating the white looking wrap under the logo Was almost gone & the logo darker.
Getting ready to order 1 & would prefer this look if I am correct.

Here's a pic from my recently purchased 705cb glass. I believe at one time the blank had a very light grey color wrap where the logo is but now as you can see it's much darker like a gun metal grey which definitely gives the rod a better look.

Thank You, that is what I was looking for. It is much more attractive than the original g2 champs as pictured in he TT review.

The silver swab under the logo is DARKER on the newer rods. Helps the logo stand out better. It's a minor change but I think it looks better. Maybe some other changes were done but i'm not aware of them.

Yes! I love my 705CB with my Patriarch XT too. Looks like that reel was made to match Dobyns Champion series reels. The blues match and the carbon fiber handle matches the carbon fiber wrapping on the rod also.

Btw, I have to agree that the newer look looks better. Haven't seen it in person yet but from those pics, the darker color makes it look better.
