That Jig Rod looks tempting. I really like my Cumara.

X2 on that jig rod..
Seems to me Shimano would have had these in their initial line up.. but I am glad they are here now..

Agreed, I don't know why they didn't come out with these sooner, but at least they're here now!

Shimano did have these rods ready to be released last year at the 2010 ICAST. Bantum1 announced it in the Shimano forum last year however it obviously was held back until now. Maybe there was more design tweaking but the release of these rods isn't surprising for those that follow the Shimano forum announcements.

i had the 7'4 cumara rod for a day and didn't like the length of the rear handle, it's the same length as their other cumara rods, i rather have a longer rear handle for heavy jigs or even full grip eva one

there is a drop shot rod but it's a spinning rod..

Now this makes things a little difficult for me. I was set on the Zillion Flippin Stick, but then the monkey made me pull the trigger on a Curado 50e, and then these rods pop up.

Kudos for releasing these though.

I'd like to see a 7'11" punching rod...7'7" seems kind of short for the technique.

Just curious, why are these listed as in the Cumara Reaction series?

it is probably type error. Before the site went down, Batam posted the specs and it was bottom contact. He stated the production was delayed to produce their saltwater series. I'm glad theyre available now. I saw more on the list than the two that just released. Maybe someone can chime in.

Anybody know if the punch rod has a longer rear handle? I checked on the Shimano site but neither rod is listed.
