Loomis Bronzeback Topwater SRM702C-TW, 5'-10"

I have been very interested in that rod as well for topwaters, but wonder if it is similar to the MBR783 which is a little too powerful for my type of topwater fishing.

Same concern here.

My default for now is a 6' St. Croix Premier. Not a super expensive rod, but it's light and just a notch down in power. I picked it up last year when I was going through this, but I really haven't given it a fair chance.

Not only accurate but ideal action for topwaters and spinnerbaits. Perfect with a Sammy 100.

I found one of these new in wrapper for $275 and went for it!

Last year I bought my first GLX, this year a Steez, what's next?

funny you should ask this question.
I was on the water today and I had loomis 7 footer, cumara 72, powell 7 but when it came down to PURE accuracy..
the 68 crucial worm rod was the MOST versitile. Underdocks, around dock pilings and boat whinches.
this is by far my goto rod when things get up close and personnal.. I had a 68 medhvy cumara as well but just wasn't the same.

A G. Loomis CR 722 or my St. Croix Legend Tourney Sniper Spinnerbait.

Although I should, try my old 5'6" pistol grip Berkley Lightning Rod. :-k

I like to use a St.croix legend tournament 6'3" med power fast action for the type of fishing your talking about.
