Which is your favorite rod company?

Own lots of rods but at the end of the day I would pick st croix They don't seem to get the love from the west coast guys but they make a better rod them most and they never break unless you slam them in a door and there customer service and warranty are top notch

NOTHING can hang with a North Fork Composites blank. The real Gary Loomis still builds one hell of a stick.

I'm a gloomis guy but recently I've been really enjoying/impressed with dobyns rods

St. Croix is my rod of choice, Avid and Legend are the best buy's on the planet, even when I build a custom there is only one blank I reach for, and that is a USA MADE St Croix, by doing this I have never been disappointed!! I have been by other top makers!! As Dwight said with St Croix you always get what you pay for!!! don't ever expect their out of the country made rods compare to their rods made by American Craftsman!!

Changing of the guard! Now Megabass is becoming readily available here in the states with the latest edition of the XX series they now have mid to high level rods @ reasonable prices due to the latest yen to $ exchange rates. G Loomis has become Shimloomis, no contest the new winner & king of the mountain “Long Live Megabass”.

I was favoring Damiki with a few ABUs thrown in, but after acquiring my first 13Fishing Omen, I have started to weed out the ABUs and I have eliminated one of my Dark Angels with an ENVY. I can not wait to see and try one of their crankbait rods.

Dobyns gets my vote. What other rod company can you call and talk directly to the owner if you are having problems with the rod or just need advice about a certain rod?

you need to put a price point on this. Megabass rod are up there but cost an arm and a leg. Ducketts are the best for the money

Used to be Powell but now that I can afford to move up I have changed my vote to G Loomis
I still feel that Powell is one of the best value buys but one cannot compare them to GLX/NRX.
