Dobyns with gloomis at a close 2nd.Hard to find a rod company like dobyns that has so many choices for every technique. Amazing balance sensitivity and above all the tapers are the best on the market. And not to mention the glass rods no other glass rods even come close.

I know they only got a few votes, but for me it's Denali. I've used alot of other brands, and got 2 when an online store was having a buy one get one free and right away I could tell they were better than anything I've used. Since then I've been able to have contact many times with the company and its a great group of guys and I just simply love their rods and how they make em.

I prefer St. Croix Rods. I like that they are made in America except their lower priced rods. They also have a wide selection that are comfortable to fish with and have yet to fail me durability wise.

My first high end rod was a dobyns so I guess I'm kinda partial. That being said, I was also once a quantum smoke baitcaster guy who swore there was no other reel. But then I jumped off the bridge and bought my first shimano dc and the quality has me hooked and my smokes are being sold. I just bought my first loomis and it should be here tomorrow. It's a nos swim bait rod and I'm excited to jump off the swimbait bridge too. But I must admit, I've watched a few videos on the Denali rods and I really do want to try one. Sorry for the rant. First post down. Hopefully many more to come as you guys are a wealth of knowledge.

I have a couple Gloomis and St croix. Next purchase will be a dobyns. Never handled one in my hand but I like the looks of them.

Most of my rods are Major Craft. I have a few Dobyns and a couple of JDM Shimano rods as well.

Where is G-rods?? Honestly, try a G-Rods rod and it will change your expectations of what a quality build, finish, and deflection should be. Great rod series for all fishing flavors!!!

I love St Croix blanks, but I'm not a huge fan of their builds. A custom on a SCV or SCIV blank is pretty much perfect. Also, really like the North Fork blanks, but they seem to have fallen off the face of the earth or something. As far as factory rods go, I really like the 13 rods. They have great styling and I love the way they integrate the reel seats. Fit and finish has been a problem on a couple of the Envy rods I've owned though.

I was going to try one but the specific model I wanted I could not get until next year, told by the company.
