Tennessee Handle Question
This is a probably a dumb question, but how do you secure the reel to a rod with a Tennessee handle? I'm guessing rod wrap or elecrtic tape, but both of these look pretty ugly to me so I am hoping someone has a better answer.

Re: Tennessee Handle Question
Most of the guys I build for use a strip of 3M filament tape at each end of the reel foot and then rod wrap over the whole thing.

That is the way I do them 3M strapping tape just a couple of raps on each side then I use electrical tape but you can use whatever you want after the strapping/filament tape.
Re: Tennessee Handle Question
I have used strapping tape then electrical tape. It works.

Re: Tennessee Handle Question
While I haven't tried it, or know of anyone that has...
I would think you could use a couple strips of strap tape and then use some heat shrink tube over the top of it. Including the X-Flock stuff.
