Sitting here drinking coffee and surfing rod weights and the steez xt caught my eye. I thought these sticks used the same blank as the regular steez, but with different components. Yeah, they are a bit heavier just by spec, but they balance very well with a medium weighted reel. Since my Steez XT is a bit beat up, I only use it for saltwater top water activities. It balances well with a Daiwa Coastal TW.
It was also decently sensitive when I used it for bottom contact applications. But it nevertheless got replaced by a Steez AGS and a St Croix LE.
