all casting:

Okuma Scott Martin TCS Casting Rod 7'3" Heavy : 135g
Major Craft Benkei BIC 652 UL BF: 94g
St. Croix Avid X Series Cast Rod 7' Med Hvy: 132g
Daiwa Steez XT Casting Rod 7' Med Hvy: 140.7g
Kistler Helium 3 Casting Rod 7' Heavy: 116.1g
Megabass F5-610XX SPINNERBAIT SPECIA: 135.3g

Sitting here drinking coffee and surfing rod weights and the steez xt caught my eye. I thought these sticks used the same blank as the regular steez, but with different components. Sure seems weighty at 140g for a 7'mh rod

Yeah, they are a bit heavier just by spec, but they balance very well with a medium weighted reel. Since my Steez XT is a bit beat up, I only use it for saltwater top water activities. It balances well with a Daiwa Coastal TW.
It was also decently sensitive when I used it for bottom contact applications. But it nevertheless got replaced by a Steez AGS and a St Croix LE.

Right on. I really need to try one of the ags rods.

Using a 6.5oz reel not bad for a 7'5" sub 4oz rod.

Anyone got weights on the new legend extreme?

I will weigh every rod I have tonight.
