Rod Weights

just got a Shimano Cumara, 7'11" MH Crankbait rod. Unbelieveable 5.13 oz. That's much much lighter than many 7' - 7'5" crankbait rods I also looked at.

i know there's some variability in weights even between the same exact models due to materials and the made-by-hand nature of rods...plus, scales are different too. anyway, the g.loomis NRX 893C has been previously reported at 111g (3.9 ounces) and 115g (4.0 ounces) but the owners did not state whether they were the blue or the green NRXs. my new NRX 893C blue comes in at 108g (3.8 ounces) on two different scales (both of which i've tested for accuracy). so, i'm kind of guessing that the heavier NRX 893Cs are the green ones which i think would weigh more because of the full-length glossy finish rather than the plain, sanded finish?

does anyone have any phenix recon2 weights? i just received a PHX-C713ML and it weighs 4.2 ounces!!! it weighs even more than my heavy-powered M1 MX-72. the gen1 713 weighs 3.6 ounces. what happened to the recons that caused this weight gain? or, was only the 713 affected?

NRX 843c MBR- 3.6oz
13 Fishing Black Envy 7'3" Med- 4.2oz
MB Phase3 Nautilus- 4.5oz
MB X4 Super Mirage- 5.2oz

Will update when my Destroyer Evoluzion Big Taper Elseil arrives in a few weeks.

I will like to know what is the weight on the 13 Fishing Crankenstein want to compare it to my 805CB RM. I also bought the NRX MBR843C and weighted 3.6oz like Phippy posted.
