Cumara spinning rod
Cumara spinning rod
Ever since I fell in love with my first Cumara I've wanted a spinning model as an all-around light bait rod. Mainly throwing Flick Shakes, Ikas, Senkos, Trick Worms, and Rage Baby Craws, t-rigged.
Looking at the 7'2 MF model, anyone have experience with this model? Paired with a 2500 Shimano reel and 6# CXX.

Re: Cumara spinning rod
I have had experience with both the 6'8" MF and MXF models for the Cumara (hopefully this will be helpful).
Both the rods are incredibly sensitive and throw light baits really, really well. I use these for my smallmouth/walleye fishing. Feeling a pickup in deep water (35 feet) is no problem for these rods.
I the F model will be a great all around model for lighter baits like weightless plastics and flick shakes, while the XF model has a lighter tip, which fits its specs as a dropshot rod.

Re: Cumara spinning rod
I have 3 cumaras and am trying to add more. I have the cus68mxf that I use for tubes, senkos and most other smallish plastics. I now wish i had gone with the 7'2"mf but I still love the rod.

The 7'2" MF is a great rod for what you are looking to do. I love the one that I have. Also the 7'6" MF is a huge difference from the 7'2". The 7'6" is a beast and a great rd for fishing heavier baits in deeper water.

I have been thinking on pulling the trigger on a 6'8" mf, thanks for your thoughts.cmc wrote:I have had experience with both the 6'8" MF and MXF models for the Cumara (hopefully this will be helpful).
