Hi all,
I'm considering picking up a rod for frogs, paddletails around grass, other lighter swimbaits and pitching heavy grass.
I think I've narrowed it down to a Dobyns Champion 5 power or a Daiwa Zillion H. Which one is stouter? Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Which is more powerful? Dobyns 5 or Zillion H?

the zillion is stouter by far. you can use a 735 dobyns for frogs but i'd recommend the 736 for frogs and pitchin' (but it's too heavy for paddletails, IMHO).

Can't speak for the Dobyns but the Zillion is a broomstick.

The zillion in MH will be enough power for what you want. The whoule line is under rated IMO.

I use 736 for paddle tails and it gets the job done. I usually throw a Basstrix 6" paddletail with a Owner Beast Hook on this rod when a Frog is not tied on.21farms wrote:the zillion is stouter by far. you can use a 735 dobyns for frogs but i'd recommend the 736 for frogs and pitchin' (but it's too heavy for paddletails, IMHO).
