Looking for a hook

Post by FishEastCarolina » Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:37 am

Is the a brand out there making a hook similar to the weighted shank lunnker city slug o hooks. They only come in 7/0 and 9/0. I want something similar to rig zman 5” streakz and jerkshads with An exposed hook.

These only come in 1/8oz and 3/0 hook, but I've used them fishing inshore for redfish and speckled trout with great success https://www.4horsementackle.com/product ... k-jig-hook

This is exactly what I need, 3/0 is perfect for specs, will this still run hook up in a super fluke or zman streakz?

You could also buy bare hooks and use some lead wire wrapped around the shank to adjust the weight how you want it.

Try the Tush hook from core tackle, they have 2/0,4/0, and 7/0 weighted hooks, you can get them from Tackle Warehouse

I see that, somewhat pricey but they look like the perfect hook to make a Zman fluke fall horizontally

I use the tush hook more for swimbaits, but they also have a hover rig hook that I have used for flukes and caffeine shads, the 3/0 1/8 oz hover rig hook is perfect for that
