Calcutta 50 sized xt or conquest?

Post by Ripley » Sat Nov 23, 2019 12:59 pm

Has anyone used these in saltwater?

Classed as freshwater surely with standard TLC should be OK?

Have the regular Calcutta 50 and a Conquest 50. Both get regular use in brackish water with zero issues.

50 XT is fine for salt but due care needs to be taken like all Calcutta's as they're dissimilar metal bombs...

Ive used both the conquest 50 and conquest 50dc in saltwater fishing the surf in Southern California for halibut and white sea bass. Both reels did just fine, though I did regularly service them.
