Hooks-Sealed line tie
Hooks-Sealed line tie
Looking to get just one line of hooks for most of my uses. I have been using the VMC since all their hooks have a sealed eye. The Gammie's do not other than their straight shank flipping hooks. Any other suggestions?

Re: Hooks-Sealed line tie
Seal the hook yourself. Either tie a knot with thin line, then drag the knot to the crack and cut it loose, then re-tie, or use a dab of epoxy. I have done both. I like Trokar hooks, but the gap at the hook eye is pretty noticeable on the larger hooks, like the Big Nasty worm hooks. Those get a quick knot with braid into the space. Easy enough, since I use braid almost exclusively, and tie directly to my lures most of the time anyway.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I also use a drop of epoxy or gel style super glue to seal up that gap. Works great on my Owner hooks.
