Can't believe no one has mentioned the owner inshore jig heads. I love fishing keitechs on those (fats and shiners). The only downside is that they only come with 4/0 hooks, so that limits you to larger baits (4.5"-5.5" or so.) I'm talking about the painted ones, BTW. I haven't tried the slam version with the screwlock keeper.
This is the way.

Owners come with 3/0 hook.
The reason I didn't mention them they have a weak flexible hook. The Trokar hook is much stronger doesn't flex and is sharper. Also prefer the Trokar shorter shank that allows a bit more body wiggle movement.

Weak hook on an inshore jighead? That hasn’t been my experience at all. This has become my number 1 jig for heavy drag bull red fishing around the bridges. Works great!QUAKEnSHAKE wrote:Owners come with 3/0 hook.

Another option I’ve started using is the Picasso swimbait heads. They have hook options for each weight and no complaints about the Gammy hook on the 2x version.

Weak and flexible compared to the Trokar. The Trokar is also a saltwater jig. I can flex the hook rather easily on the Owner 1/8oz and 1/4oz that I have.JBcrankaddict wrote:Weak hook on an inshore jighead? That hasn’t been my experience at all.
