I don't think anyone would be surprised if Daiwa released another 3 or 4 reels based on the Tatula platform. It's nauseating

Yea that bums me out too. I would like to see something new. Even if they give the Zillion SV TW the Steez style sideplate and a new color... it is still basically a $99 Fuego frame. Once you think about it, they really like using the same base and just giving you more or less depending on price. Would like to a Z1016 or PIXY update that stands 100% on its own.

X2 The most exciting reel they have released since the TW came out has been the 103 SV, and they wouldn't even call it a Zillion.

copycat site on youtube claims a new Tatula 100 that is smaller, weighs 6.9oz, has zero adjuster, and different knobs.

I believe it. I heard some time ago that the Tatula CT would be replaced. I also heard that from another source that there would be something new coming out this year with a spider on it. The spider symbol is commonly used on Tatula reels. The Tatula CT is still a goofy shaped and poorly palming reel so a redesign would be welcome.

They already introduced the spider reel... it’s the tatula 150

The best thing about a new Tatula means maybe we will get a new Zillion later this year. Maybe they will blow out the Zillion SV TW like they did the Zillion TWS. I would be okay with only having Zillion SV TW's... But... Would probably buy whatever is new anyways.

Doesn't sound like an SV. Angle on the picture of the reel is hard to tell but it looks a little smaller than the current CT. Price point i think is less than the curado K. There's some cool small red accents. It is a TW variant. Assuming this reel takes off, I think it's safe to say an SV variant and Zillion SV would follow suit late this year or around the classic.

I wouldn't mind it if Daiwa used the big Zillion TWS platform with the T3 style recessed dial and 1516 spools for the Zillion from here on out. Aluminum frame and side plates, 1516 spool compatibility, maybe do some mill work on the top of the frame wirh each new release like the old TD Zillion reels. Sort of like the new Zillion HD but without the fixed inductor and giant knobs. Let the Tatula reels small and lighter weight. Zillions should be big bad 8 oz tanks. As it is now the two are too similar.

Because they're still using the same frames ;)

I kinda liked the look of the new tat, from what you can see in the video. A smaller size reel will be more comfortable on most reel seats. The tat sv already feels small enough to me most daiwa seats. I havent messed with tatula elite rods, but those seats look really similar to what was on the older ballistic rods. They feel closer to an ecsm than the normal daiwa seats.
