It’s that time a year again! Pretty exciting leading up to Icast. What rumors are everyone hearing. I have heard of a saltwater stradic and possible redesign of the Loomis inshore rods.

Hoping for a Mk11 Tatula with a side plate more like the Steez which protects the mag control dial from accidental adjustment.

Hoping 13 fishing has a redesigned envy line. Ive seen a couple of youtube vids of what appeared to be prototypes with no labeling on them. They have a reel seat like the muse/fate chrome. That's the major thing I dont like about the last gen rods.

The saltwater Stradic is confirmed. Not sure whether it is USDM or JDM only/both, but there are a few videos out on them. I personally hope that Daiwa comes out with something comparable to the Bantam (in terms of compact). Would be really cool to see a Pixy SV or a Z1016. A Z1012 could meet both of those requirements!!! I would be happy enough with the Zillion SV TW getting the Steez sideplate though, especially if I could upgrade my current ones.

Also Bantam and a few others users mentioned some things from Shimano that "a few people here would be excited about", but I have no idea on price range or what exactly it will be pointed at...

Bring back the Red and Yellow Daiwa. From the old school limited run T3's but in the Tatula series. That be pretty sweet

It's eating me up! ICAST isn't far off, but for some reason I just always want to know what is coming. Having high hopes Shimano introduces something new in the $250 range for lighter lures/freshwater. I doubt it happens this year but I figure the Zillion SV will get the new sideplate like the JDM Zillion HD has, maybe some other new tech will come with it...

I just want to see this CG80 thing. Is it an Korean OEM branded as a Daiwa, a new Daiwa plastic reel design, an April fool's joke or what?

Ha I forgot about that. It sure disappeared quick from conversation. Was a hot topic for a bit...

I am definitely anxiously waiting. It’s time to regear but I want to see what’s coming before I make any big purchases.

There's a few "leak" videos out, along with the official Shimano USA video. Apparently not the only DC reel out this year:

The Daiwa Tatula CT Type-R is on clearance, is there a new reel in the Tatula lineup on the way?
