Tekel sprekel frog
For anyone that has used any of the new frogs with a kicker tail, should I try the tekel sprekel, the booyah knock off, or try and make my own?
Re: Tekel sprekel frog
Make your own. I don’t use them
But I say make your own and let us know how it goes.

Home mades don't make the same loud distinct POP pOP POP sound...Teckels are very whopper plopper'ish
i have the booyah never through it.
the lunker hunts are just turbulance no sound.
I'd say the Teckel is a topwater that should be in everyone's arsenal.

I don't like the sound of the teckel frog as it's a quiet version of the whopper plopper. I haven't been able to get any good sized bass on it. Honestly, I would recommend you try out the teckel frog first before you decide to tinker and make your own.

I found a good way to make my own, I just need to find out what tail to use for it.

I think this was one of the 2017 "over-hyped" products.
It seems fine, to me, better of course for open water than it'd be tossed into pads and vegetation where its "kick" would be muted.
But, each year, there are several of these really impressive marketing campaigns. Last year, we had an over-hyped kayak, an over-hyped reel and then this one. I bet others here could name a few more that fall into this category. Being so, by the way, doesn't necessarily mean it is bad. Some turn out pretty good.
ICAST 2018 is a few days away and we should get ready for the next round of "can't miss" products.

Re: Tekel sprekel frog
I use my whopper plopper in open water but when there’s any weeds or pads, I use my sprinker frog before any regular frog because I still love that tail action to attract bass in between pads and over veg and weeds and man it works. I’ve caught tons of bass and I even add a trailer hook which stays a little higher to avoid the tail and the hook up ratio is way better.
And FYI, there’s a video review on YouTube on how it compares to the booyah one and the sprinker frog is much much better.
