Hopfully I can get to the mail before she does...
Ha, know the feeling. Last month my wife intercepted the mailman delivering a reel and I walked out to hear him saying "you shoulda seen that big fishing rod I delivered here yesterday". I gave him the oops sign behind her and he said "or maybe that was another house"... she smiled and said "no, it was here".

Down in South Florida it's all season, fresh, salt so hard to pick just two. Yesterday it was the Antares HG with Yumeya spool on a 7' Kistler He3 LMH and MGXtreme on a Jackson Super Trickster STC-64L. The Met HGs also see a lot of use.

I am not going to read through the replies because I know this thread was an attempt at a sick joke. This is Tackletour. No one here is going to mainly use just two rods and reels for a season.

Having said that I am going to learn to use Ned Rigs and Drop Shots this year. Plus I will be using some of those jigs and Senkos that have been sitting in my tackle boxes...at a lake I like to fish. Pressure is heavy and I fish from shore. I have to do something that 10,000 others aren't. I will be using 2 spinning rods and at least 2 (or 4) baitcast rods for the former. I have 4-5 casting rods I want to try for the latter to see which seems the most sensitive to me. Three of my rods were recently purchased just for these techniques as was one spinning reel.

I'm still impressed with my Addermine.

Honestly, I will probably use my cheapest combo the most because I live in a condo on the lake and the dock is on a flat with milfoil too thick for anything subsurface. The combo will be a Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth 6'9 MXF with a Curado 70 HG. This is a great setup for poppers.

I picked up an Addermine and a Steez 7'6 AGS over the past few weeks. We still have ice on the lakes so I haven't had a chance to try out the Addermine yet. Whichever one works better with a Ned rig will most likely be the second most used rod I own.

Since I mainly kayak fish, I'm looking for versatility:

Loomis GLX 844 MBR with a 13 Met and 30# Sufix 832 w/leader
Loomis NRX 852s with a 14 Exsence Ci4+ 3000 and 10# Sufix 832 w/leader

and I'll sneak this one in as well:
Loomis GLX 845 CBR with a Chronarch MGL and 30# Sufix 832 w/leader

NRX spinning rod, drop shot model, with a Daiwa Tatula spinning reel seems to get the most use.

I really like the way the rod handles, and I use it as my all-around spinning rod.
