Which two rods are you guys going to buy/use this year?

Im thinking I have finally came up with these 2 which I dont own yet, but this is what I'm going with for this year.

MB Black Jungle SFMS for the treble hook things, paired with Met MGL.

MB Destroyer FMJ paired with Steez SV for jiggs and stuff. (I may change my mind and go for the 2016 Destroyer Super Destroyer)

Last season I was mainly using MB XX Spinnerbait Special for my treble hook apps and NRX852s for lighter jiggs and dropshots.

I know this post is kind of pointless, but hey it's winter here still and I keep thinking about fishing.

Probably going to be my Megabass Orochi XX Spinnerbait Special with a Daiwa SV103 6.3:1. I love throwing spinnerbaits and throw them quite often. That rig will handle most of my other moving bait needs.
The other is certainly going to be my Orochi XX EMTF paired with a Metanium MGL 7.4:1. That's jigs, t-rigs, and any other bottom baits.
If I could throw a third runner-up it'd be the G.Loomis GLX 842 MBR with a Daiwa SV105 7.1:1. I love throwing a wacky rig when it gets hot in the summer and that rod will throw them way out there and has plenty of sensitivity.

I wonder how answers to this thread now would differ at the end of the season after it's all said and done. Could be interesting!

Right now, I think I will use these two combos the most:

Megabass Destroyer X7 Super Eiger w/Daiwa TD-Z 103ML (7:1 Gears)
Megabass Orochi XX EMTF w/Daiwa Steez SV103XSL

Honorable Mention would be my froggin' setup, since I almost ALWAYS give the froggin' bite a try

Good choices, thats two ppl with mentions of the XX 75 EMF, I have the x7 Extreme Mission I also like to throw around but it's pretty long and I always have to watch out for my buddys in the boat lol. Lets see if we can get this post going, just for fun

I plan on picking up a GLX 842 MBR so that might be one of them.

NRX 852 with Met MGL is going to be my main I think.
NRX 843 with Calcutta Conquest

Custom MBR844 w/ TD-Ito
Custom K2 764 w/ TD-Ito

Loomis NRX894 with a Shimano core 100mg7 for jigs. My second would be my Loomis GLX845cbr with a brand new Shimano Chronarch mgl for crankbaits.

IS73 Viola paired with an ARMS Challenge World Edition Limited Diablo
IS73 Galaxy Red paired with an X7 Diablo Fast Move

*My Met MGL HG paired with a Shimano/Jackal Poison Glorious HyperWolf may get as much use as the IS Galaxy Red/X7 DFM combo

It usually varies by season for me but overall I'd say:

1. 7' M Steez Fle-X-Lite paired with Steez SV TW 7.1

2. Custom punch rod (Phenix K2 765, extended to 8'9") with a Zillion TWS 9.1. If the rod doesn't have the power to punch than I will most likely either build another custom or I will just get the 8' Archangel.

Last year, top combos were:

7' M Steez Fle-X-Lite with a T31016 (SV Spool) for spring and fall.

Archangel 7'2" MH with a T3 AIR (SV custom) 8.6.

Orochi x4 seven eleven always gets a lot of use each season and so will whatever reel is bolted to it. Currently that is a LIN10 Black Jungle. I put a lot of hours behind a volkey L and SS SV with DIY throwing small plastics + jig heads aka Ned Riga each season too.

I'll be spending a lot of time with the new 2017 Megabass US Destroyer line this year

F7-76X Valdiva will be my go to big jig/deep water jig rod for a while, and I'll frog with it when the stuff gets thick later in the year.
It's a toss up on the second one Daemos, Javelin, FMJ, and OneTen will all be getting a lot of water time, but I'll be fishing them all at some point.

Well there goes my idea for a jig rod... yesterday I was on Plat and I did something that my wife would probably leave me for if she finds out LOL.

Hopfully I can get to the mail before she does...

This is a really tough question to answer as I'm sure, everyone here has a lot of setups, but I find myself mostly reaching for my NRX 842S and Stella 3000HGM as I fish a weedless fluke A LOT and I also use my MB Orochi XX spinnerbait special with Shimano Calcutta Conquest 100HG for spinnerbaits.

Similar to my last year's duo. NRX852s and MB XX spinnerbait special, except I wasnt a high roller and I had a Stradic ci4+ on the NRX and I had a Met MGL on my MB XX
