Favorite Punch Hook?

Post by Basscatcher99 » Sat Dec 20, 2014 1:43 pm

What is your favorite hook for fishing with 60-100 lb braid? Seems like most of the options out there have bad reviews on TW. Just looking for some opinions on this site

Owner Twist Lock Zo wire flipping hook. This hook improved my grass/mat fishing a ton, hardly ever miss a fish using them.

I have only used these for one season now so i will not claim years of good experience, but they have never let me down.

I've tried most of them and I think my new favorite with a keeper is the Hayabusa FPP hook. Gap isn't as wide as the Paycheck hook but the keeper isn't monstrous. It has the welded eye too.

If no keeper, the Paycheck does it for me. I use no keeper with Havoc Slop Craw. It's my favorite punch bait as it's compact, durable, and doesn't need a keeper on the hook.

Interesting no one said a Gami. I have been trying the Hack attack cause it is one strong SOB but the Trokar is my go to when money matters.

That new Owner 4x Jungle flippin' hook looks good! Anyone tried it yet? Owner is by far my favorite brand but they only made 3x hooks for a while... Not heavy enough IMO for punching with 80 lb braid.

Hack attack, no twist..the best...you don't even think about the hook when using it..
