Any idea who will have discounts on cyber Monday for rods? Looking to get a St.Croix rod model TRS76MF. No dealer has one in stock in the Phoenix area, forced to go on the net.

Seems like most the online retailers are running sales now. Not sure who all carries that Rod but Id prob start by googling the model # and going from there

They used to have a Black November sale in past years, but apparently no sale at all this year?

I just talked to The Hook Up Tackle a few minutes ago....

They had a Black Friday discount sale, ending today, Monday....BUT only via phone or in-person. That's because some vendors won't permit them to discount via the web.

I live in Maryland, but I was visiting in Phoenix a few years ago.

Stopped at the Hook Up in Peoria on our way to the Grand Canyon. (It was around new year's, and we got stuck in a huge blizzard on the way back from the Canyon. A 2-3 hour trip took about a10 hours. Traffic was dead still on the interstate. Over-turned cars in ditches...with people in them!)

Hook up was a small place on the lake, with a tackle shop and a guide service.

I believe that their tackle shop business grew so much that they had to relocate to a larger place.

They had the objective of being the largest Megabass dealer in the country. I don't know if they achieved that goal.

My bet is they don't make it or at least abandon Internet sales. They have treated me good and I did a fair amount of business with them but last year or so they have not had much of any stock.

Sometimes that can be a killer, more often though with restaurants.
