What do you think TT's theme is for 2013???
What do you think TT's theme is for 2013???
It would be cool if the gang traveled to Japan, and visited all the tackle stores there (eye candy!). Then fished at Lake Biwa, to test out the tackle. My favorite topic till this day was the high speed reel shootout, it lead me to my favorite reel.
In regards to the theme for 2013, I will take a wild guess and say power fishing. What do you guys think?

You do realize, the 2009 High Speed Reel Shootout was included within that year's theme and did not define 2009, right?zodiak311 wrote:My favorite topic till this day was the high speed reel shootout....

I think that it would be great if you exposed some bass fishing applications found in Japan in detail. Cover everything from lures, line, rods, reels, and the actual technique is executed. I know that in some varying degrees these are covered and a lot are known but it seems like that's where most of the new cool types of fishing come from. It would be cool to see some that some of us don't know about and also more info on ones we do know like hybrid techniques and spin-offs.

How about fish with some serious teeth to them Something along the lines of topwaters/super shallow baits would be nice, although the Japan idea is really good as well.

As long as they are being harvested and not just getting thrown on shore because they're gar I'm fine with that They'll gladly chew up an original floater though, or a skitter walk

A reminder that our themes serve to define an entire year, not just one or two articles... here's a look at our last four years' worth of inspiration...

I like the idea of covering some of the new Japanese techniques and JDM lures. There is always new stuff coming out and it would be cool to get an idea of how some of it should be utilized and what may or may not be worth our while =)

How about desperate, virginity-fueled objectification of women? Oh no wait, that's already the theme here constantly! Honestly guys, what do models have to do with fishing gear? It's tacky.

Sex sells it's just reality. It is everywhere and if the woman don't mind then why should we.scatter wrote:How about desperate, virginity-fueled objectification of women? Oh no wait, that's already the theme here constantly! Honestly guys, what do models have to do with fishing gear? It's tacky.
