Some hook makers have extra strong versions using heavier wire. IMO hooks come from the same place just the wire grade spec's are different.

Hi there, it's actual single hookToadslayer72 wrote:When you say single hooks, do you mean one treble hook (three points) or actual single hooks (a hook with one point), like a live bait or worm hook?Ginson wrote:agree on the point that they should just sell the lure itself without all those nonsense(hooks, split rings) attached on it...
i change everything on mine esp hooks, rapala split rings are big, bulky and good at rusting, Japanese have good split rings on them but hooks are thin wired but sharp. Btw, rapala saltwater gred hooks are a joke, twisted beyond recognition just by 1 hit from a small hampala micropidota.
over in tropical country such as myself in M'sia, using anything straight out of box is sheer suicide, unless one loves losing fish or using UL setup/soft rods/light drag
it's already a routine for me to buy any lures and it will straight go on my tackle's room table to be upgraded. Oh yea i use mostly single hooks only these days so they need to be changed anyway, much tougher. And everytime i stumble upon cheap second hand lures without hooks on them, i get real happy
